Remodeling Design in Highlands Ranch, CO

Where everything you imagined comes together.

“From the design phase and making things incredibly easy, to the entire construction piece — the entire experience exceeded all expectations.”
— Christina S.

Why the Design Phase Comes First

We don’t make decisions on the fly. Before work starts in your own, we work together to make the important decisions with you. Careful planning and thorough communication ensure expectations are met. When construction starts, our team is builds from a well-defined plan instead of making major decisions on the job site.

What Your Design Phase Includes

Your Floor Plan

When developing your floor plan, we evaluate how each space functions, identify opportunities to improve the layout, and finalize a plan that supports the way you live.

Renderings and Mood Boards

We order material samples, create renderings, and put together mood boards to help you envision how your selections work together in the room. Seeing the design as a whole helps you make confident, cohesive choices so every finish and detail contributes to the finished space you envision.

Material Selections

Rather than asking you to make decisions in a showroom, we bring tile, hardware, and finish samples to your home. Seeing materials in your own lighting and alongside your other selections gives greater confidence when comparing options and choosing the right finishes for your space.

What the Design Phase Delivers

What you want:
A design that fits both your vision and your budget.

How we get there:
We turn abstract ideas into a concrete plan.

We start by understanding the look you’re trying to achieve, then walk through the materials, layout, and construction requirements that make it happen. Throughout the design process, we’ll help you compare options, understand the cost of different decisions, and finalize selections that fit your priorities.

What you want:
A project that keeps moving once it starts.

How we get there:
Construction doesn't begin until your materials are ready.

Every material is selected, approved, and ordered during the design phase. We track delivery timelines so construction begins with a clear plan for what’s being installed and when materials arrive. That preparation helps keep the project moving efficiently.

Questions We Hear About Remodeling Design

Do I need to know exactly what I want before reaching out?

No. Most homeowners start with a folder of inspiration photos and a rough sense of what they want to change. Others know exactly what they want, but end up choosing layouts and finishes they hadn’t previously considered (in a good way). We work with you to turn your ideas, no matter how open or set they are, into a clear plan of action.

Yes. After we present the proposal, you’ll submit a deposit to move into design. The deposit covers the layout, mood boards, material selections, renderings, and the work behind getting every selection locked in before construction.

It depends on the scope of your project, but most bathrooms take four to six weeks of design, kitchens six to 10 weeks, and whole-home remodeling projects take longer. The biggest variable is how quickly selections come together. We keep that moving with mood boards, renderings, and samples brought to your home, because demo doesn’t start until every material is selected, approved, and on its way.

Every selection lives in your Buildertrend project portal. You log in to review finishes, sign off on materials, see the full scope, and review costs in one place. Daily logs from the construction phase live there too, so by the time your project is complete, you have seen and approved every piece of it.

This is something we plan for during design. Selections are made and ordered before construction begins, and materials are opened and inspected within a few days of delivery. That way, if something arrives damaged, we find out early and reorder it while there’s still time to keep your project on schedule.
