Whole-home remodels are priced by scope, not as a fixed package. Many start with a kitchen or primary suite, then expand into adjacent rooms or other areas of the home.

Larger whole-home remodels often range from $250,000 to $300,000+, depending on the number of rooms, structural changes, and finish selections.
*Every whole-home project starts with a design phase that ends in a fixed-price proposal. The number we agree on before construction is the number you pay unless you change the scope. The final price depends on the number of spaces being remodeled, the level of finish selections, and the structural changes required.
During the design phase, we coordinate the details that carry throughout the home, from flooring and trim to doors, lighting, paint, and built-ins. Planning these selections together keeps the finished spaces consistent.
We plan flooring across the remodeled areas, whether that means new materials throughout or tying into existing hardwoods where it makes sense.
Trim profiles, baseboards, and door casings are selected together so they stay consistent across the remodeled spaces.
Interior doors are chosen to complement the trim, hardware, and overall design throughout the home.
We coordinate decorative lighting, recessed lighting, and other fixtures across the remodeled spaces into one lighting plan.
Electrical updates may include new wiring, panel upgrades, and additional circuits to support the remodeled spaces and meet current code.
Depending on the design, we may replace existing windows or add new ones to bring in more light and suit the updated layout.
Paint colors are selected as part of the overall plan so the remodeled spaces feel consistent room to room.
Custom built-ins, like shelving, window seats, or entertainment centers are designed to match the cabinetry and finishes used throughout the remodel.
Depending on the scope, most whole-home and multi-room projects take six to 14 weeks or longer. A kitchen plus surrounding flooring, trim, and a powder bathroom might finish in eight to 10 weeks; a primary suite plus connected bathrooms and bedrooms can run 12 to 16 weeks. The bigger the project, the more sequencing we plan into the schedule so the work moves from one phase to the next without stalling.
Most of our whole-home and multi-room projects start with a single space, usually a kitchen or a primary bathroom, and grow during the design phase. As you see how the new finishes, layouts, and lighting will look next to what’s still in the rest of the home, the scope often expands to bring the connected rooms into alignment. Our design process helps you decide where it makes sense to extend the work and where to draw a clean stopping line.
We strongly recommend it as whole-home projects can be disruptive. For example, much or all of your furniture has to come out of the affected rooms, the kitchen won’t be functional during demolition and rebuild, and there are often phases where you can’t walk through the jobsite to reach the upstairs or downstairs. We’ll talk through specifics during the consultation, but in most cases renting a short-term home or staying with family makes the project go faster and easier for everyone.
Our design phase is built to lock down every decision before construction starts, so most projects move through the build without major changes. When something does come up mid-project, whether it’s a request from you or something we find behind the walls, we walk you through the options together, provide a written change order with the price, and only proceed once you’ve approved it. There are no surprise charges on the final bill.

D&D does not take on projects for flips or rental properties. We work with homeowners who see remodeling as a long-term investment in their home.
We believe the final 5% of a remodeling project matters most. Before your project is complete, we walk through the finished space with you, identify any remaining items, and fix them before the final invoice is paid.
